Spotify Removes Several Episodes of Alex Jones Podcasts

Spotify Technology removed some podcasts of “The Alex Jones Show” for violating the company’s hate speech policy.

Alex Jones is the founder of Infowars and also the owner of “The Alex Jones Show”. At an earlier time, YouTube had suspended his broadcasting live and deleted some videos, Facebook also suspended his personal page as well as remove four of his videos. And now, more and more people express their discontent to the show, and some even threatened to cancel their subscriptions if Spotify does not take actions to the how. And the company finally do something punishment about Jone’s podcasts.

There are not all of Jone’s podcasts being removed from Spotify, only those podcast episodes which were determined by Spotify to include hate speech to be deleted in currently. And a Spotify spokesperson said in a statement “Spotify can confirm it has removed specific episodes of ‘The Alex Jones Show’ podcast for violating our hate content policy”, and the company also said “We are also continuing to develop and implement content monitoring technology which identifies content on our service that has been flagged as hate content on specific international registers.”
