Twitter Firstly Testing A Twitter Lite Android App In The Philippines

Twitter Lite is a new Progressive Web App produced by the company in March this year, which uses less data to work more effectively in a slow network, and now it is testing a Twitter Lite Android app in the Philippines.

Like the Twitter Lite which released in early of this year gets less data but also included nearly all of features of the native app, this new Twitter Lite Android app testing in the Philippines also gets this advanced feature, and many Android users can use Twitter smoothly in those places with slow network.

This new app is currently only available in the Philippines, and the Twitter spokesperson said the reason is it has “slow mobile networks and expensive data plans, while mobile devices with limited storage are still very popular there”, and moreover, t is not sure this app will be tested in other markets
