Google Quietly Bought UK Startup Redux

Alphabet, the umbrella corporation of Google, Inc. etc. quietly acquired Redux, a UK startup company which is focus on technology like turn your screen into a speaker.

According the a report from bloomberg, Google has quietly acquired this startup company and reflected on Crunchbase, but the exact date when the purchase was made is not clear.

Who’s Redux?

Founded in 2013, Redux is a company focused on audio and haptics on phones or tablet, it developed a series of technologies like using vibrations to turn surfaces of phones or tablets into speakers, and making use the haptic feedback to mimic the touch feeling of buttons and sliders.

To increase the competition in a rat race with other big firms like Apple and other smartphone makers, Google has been invested in touchscreen products, and this time, it will continue to keep aggressive and apply the advanced technology on its smartphone products.
