1. Take the Password Reset Tool for Microsoft Live Accounts

2. Change the password manually via the Windows settings

  • Click on Windows button to open the Start menu
  • Select Settings on the list — select Accounts
  • Click on Sign-in options — Change (under “Change your account password”)
  • Sign in with your current Microsoft account password with prompts and then enter the last four digits of your phone number for confirming your account
  • Enter the code you receive on your phone
  • Enter your old password with the instructions, and then enter a new password
